International travel involves many risks such as accidents, acute ailments, food poisoning, lost luggage, among other things. Local health insurance companies, the AZV and/or SVB provide limited coverage or no coverage at all while traveling abroad. NOTE
If you wish to purchase the travel insurance online, you'll be asked for your travel dates and credit card information. The insurance policy, purchase receipt and ID cards are sent within seconds to your email.

Pre-Certification and Claim Filing

To receive full benefits pre-certification is required for hospitalization, surgery, emergency medical and political evacuations, emergency reunions, trip interruptions, repatriation of remains, CAT Scans and MRIs. Pre-certification may be done by contacting Customer Support at 1-800-605-2282 in the US, or collect outside the US at 1-317-262-2132 or through the Client Zone. Please see the certificate for more details. Coinsurance will be waived for expenses incurred in the US within our direct-pay PPO (Preferred Provider Network). Simply present your ID card at the provider's office so that they may contact the Travel Assistance Center to verify benefits and billing information.

You may file a claim by submitting a Claimant’s Statement and Authorization Form. Complete the form, attach all orignal invoices and payment receipts, and send them to the address shown on the Claimant’s Statement.

Eligibility and Maximum Limits

If you are at least 2 weeks old, you are eligible for coverage. If you are under age 70, you may select your Overall Maximum Limit, ranging from $50,000 to $1,000,000. If you are age 70 to 79, the Overall Maximum Limit available is $50,000. If you are age 80 or older, the Overall Maximum Limit available is $10,000. The minimum coverage period is 5 days and the maximum initial coverage period is 12 months. The maximum age limit for the 12 month plan is 65 years old.
